Gospel Night 1 — Basel Cathedral

Description

The Gospel Night at Basel Cathedral has been an integral part of Basel's Christmas season for over 20 years, attracting gospel enthusiasts from across the tri-border region. Due to high demand, the concert is being held on two evenings for the first time. The diverse programme ranges from traditional gospel and African-American work songs to spiritual jazz, world music and modern pop songs. The approximately 30 stage-experienced singers, led by Oliver Rudin, connect cultures and musical styles while conveying a message of hope and community. The internationally acclaimed choir (gold medal at the 2021 World Choir Games) presents an energetic yet contemplative performance in the cathedral's unique atmosphere.
